In the Kavanaugh case, the FBI contacts its second accuser Deborah Ramirez
WASHINGTON – The investigation against Brett Kavanaugh, the judge appointed by Donald Trump for the seat in the Supreme Court and now the subject of an investigation for sexual harassment after the testimony of a first woman, Christine Blasey Ford, may accuse him that he attempted to rape her during a high school party.
The FBI contacted Kavanaugh’s second prosecutor, Deborah Ramirez, as part of the investigation launched in view of the Senate vote to confirm the appointment. The woman agreed to collaborate with investigators, her lawyer reported. Ramirez accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct when he was a student at Yale University.
The request for a full investigation, with the summons of witnesses and the acquisition of evidence, was made by Jeff Flake, one of the Republican senators and members of the justice commission who must rule on Kavanaugh’s suitability for the highest judicial bench in the United States. , after listening to Ford’s testimony.
Among the witnesses that the FBI will convene there is also Mark Judge, the friend of Kavanaugh who according to Ford was with him at the time of the attack, which occurred in the summer of 1982. The man is for now refugee in an unknown location and so far he has only delivered a short written note to the justice commission in which he declares he does not remember anything about that party.
