At least twenty dead in Taez
SANAA – At least 20 protesters have been killed during the night by Yemeni security forces in Taez, south of Sanaa, where they intervened to dismantle a permanent sit-in against President Ali Abdallah Saleh. The protest organizers reported it. Three of the victims were hit in front of a police station near the site of the sit-in before the assault on Liberty Square in the city center. Armored vehicles and tanks were used to empty the square of protesters. But some protesters have taken refuge on the roofs of neighboring houses and the organizers announce that the protest continues.
