Bomb against Panathinaikos

ATHENS – A strong explosion, caused by an artisanal bomb, took place this morning in front of the headquarters of a club of the Panathinaikos soccer team in Athens. The attack, the media report, has caused serious damage to the exterior of the building but no victims.

The strong explosion occurred around 05.00 local time and caused damage to nearby offices.

It is the second attack against a Panathinaikos club in Athens in recent weeks. A similar attack had previously been carried out against an Olympiakos club. No one has ever claimed these actions that take place in the context of a wave of dynamite violence by anarchist groups. However, the police have so far seemed to disagree with this line of investigations.
