Zurich, tragedy in a bank, shoots two colleagues and kills himself
ZURICH – Tragedy in Zurich. An employee of the credit institution ZKB killed two colleagues and took his own life, in a peak of madness apparently dictated by a professional conflict.
Everything happened in a few minutes, around 8 o’clock this morning: the murderer, a 56-year-old financial advisor of the Cantonal Bank of Zurich whose identity has not yet been announced, took out a firearm and shot two management components in the head. The men, fathers of families aged 45 and 41, died after being taken to hospital.
The shooting took place at the ZKB headquarters at the Zurich-Enge station. The 80 or so employees of the bank have been turned away by the police. For some of them the assistance of psychologists has become necessary.
